The phrase “Don’t be sad, Allah is with us” is a comforting and encouraging sentiment derived from Islamic teachings. It reflects the belief that, as a source of solace and support, Allah is always present with His believers, especially during challenging times. This concept is rooted in several verses from the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
One of the verses that conveys a similar message is found in Surah At-Tawbah (9:40):
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثَانِيَ اثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِي الْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا
“Except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion for Allah, for those will be with the believers. And Allah is going to give the believers a great reward.” (Quran 9:40)
